What is the blocked persons list?
The Financial Intelligence Unit of the SHCP, issues since 2014 rulings that are sent to the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) in which includes the Blocked Persons List. As a consequence of the inclusion on the list, the regulated financial entities must suspend any act, transaction or services with the listed persons, making impossible any transaction as long as they remain on the Blocked Persons List.
What should I do if I was informed of a possible match with a person included in the blocked persons list?
If you have attempted to perform a transaction, and at the point of sale you were informed that your name matches with a person included in the blocked persons list, issued by the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, you can assert your hearing right, in order to clarify your situation, before the owner of said unit, within a 10 business days period from the date of notice.
